A strong strategy also identifies your unique value proposition (UVP)—what sets you apart from competitors and why customers should choose you. Establishing measurable goals, such as increasing website traffic by 20% or boosting social media engagement, helps track success and guide decision-making. Additionally, it’s important to analyse your market positioning, understanding how your brand fits within the competitive landscape.

A marketing plan is the tactical roadmap that outlines how to execute your marketing strategy and achieve your goals. It should include a detailed timeline of actions to keep efforts organised and on track. For example, scheduling content creation, social media campaigns, or email launches ensures consistent delivery.

The plan should define specific marketing channels (e.g., SEO, social media, email, or paid ads) based on where your target audience is most active. It should also allocate budgets and resources, ensuring you know how much time, money, and tools are needed for each initiative. Assigning responsibilities and accountabilities—who does what and by when—helps ensure smooth execution.
