A website review to help your site work better for you
My website review service gives small businesses and organisations across New Zealand a fresh pair of eyes on their existing site. I’ll look at how clearly it explains your work, how easily people can use it and whether the SEO basics are in place. You’ll receive a practical report explaining what’s working and what could be improved.
Perhaps some of these sound familiar:
-
Your website no longer reflects what you do.
-
People seem unsure about your services or how to take the next step.
-
The site feels dated or difficult to navigate.
-
You would like more enquiries, but aren’t sure what needs to change.
-
You’ve had suggestions from other people, but don’t know where to start.
I’ll take a fresh look at your website, understand what you want it to achieve, and suggest practical ways to improve it.
What I look at—and why it matters
A useful website review considers how the whole site supports your business and the people you want to reach.
Does your site explain what you do in a way that connects with your customers?
I’ll consider the language, headings and overall impression of your site. Is your offer clear? Does the tone feel right for your business? Are you answering the questions a potential customer is likely to have?
The aim is to help visitors understand what you offer, why it might suit them and how you can help.
Can visitors find what they need and see what to do next?
I’ll look at how your pages are organised, how the menus and links guide people, and whether important information is easy to find. I’ll also consider how the site works on a phone.
A clear structure helps people explore your website comfortably and take the next step, whether that’s getting in touch, making a booking or buying something.
Are the basics in place to help search engines understand your site?
I’ll review the fundamentals of search engine optimisation, usually called SEO. This includes things such as page titles, descriptions, headings and how clearly your content describes your services.
These details help search engines understand your pages and connect them with relevant searches.

A clear report you can put to use
You’ll receive a simply laid-out report, written in everyday language, explaining:
-
What’s working well.
-
Where I’ve spotted difficulties or opportunities.
-
Suggested fixes and improvements, with reasons for each.
-
Which changes would be most useful to tackle first.
The recommendations will be practical and specific, so you can see what needs attention and why. The report is yours to put to work. You can tackle the changes yourself, share it with your web designer, or call on that friend who’s good with these things.
And if you’d like a hand from me, I’m here too. I would be happy to discuss that and agree a separate price before starting.
What does it cost and next steps . . .
For most websites, the review and report cost NZ$99, with no added fees.
Larger or more complex websites may cost more. If that applies to your site, I’ll discuss it with you and agree the price before starting.
There’s nothing to pay upfront. Payment is due at the end, once you’re happy with the completed review and report.
Send me your website address and a few thoughts about what you’d like to improve—or what doesn’t feel quite right.
You don’t need to have worked out the answers. A little background will help us get started.
